What are Estradot Patches used for?

Estradot patches are used as hormone replacement therapy (HRT) to relieve symptoms of menopause, such as hot flushes, night sweats, mood swings, and vaginal dryness. They contain estradiol, a form of estrogen, which helps restore hormone levels that naturally decline after menopause.

How and when to take Estradot Patches?

Estradot patches should be applied to clean, dry, hairless skin on the lower abdomen or buttocks—never on the breasts. You typically apply a new patch twice a week (every 3 to 4 days), and it’s important to rotate the application site each time to avoid skin irritation. Press the patch firmly in place for about 10 seconds to ensure it sticks well. It can be worn while showering or bathing, but avoid placing it on areas where it might rub off from tight clothing. 

How long do Estradot Patches last?

Each Estradot patch is designed to deliver a continuous dose of estradiol over 24 hours and should be worn for 3 to 4 days before being replaced with a new patch. This means you typically apply a new patch twice a week, every 3 to 4 days, to maintain consistent hormone levels. It’s important to rotate the application sites to avoid skin irritation and ensure proper adhesion. Always follow your healthcare provider’s instructions regarding the duration and frequency of use.
